Since 2001, the mission of Hearts and Hands Helping Seniors— LAIVC (Laurel Area Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Inc.) has remained unwavering. We are dedicated to providing assistance to our recipients so they can continue to enjoy life, confident they have somewhere to turn when they need help.

Our program addresses the issues of isolation, loneliness and meeting basic needs of our recipients, enabling many to remain in their home.

We remain committed to our mission, vision, and values, ensuring we provide vital support to our aging neighbors, age 60 and older, across Latrobe, Derry, Ligonier (and their respective townships), as well as Unity Township, for many years to come. 

We are dedicated to providing support that empowers local seniors to live confidently, age well, and stay connected to the heart of their community. 

Partnering with local organizations and agencies, we work to fill the gap between current initiatives and services.

Laurel Area Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, Inc. (DBA—Hearts and Hands Helping Seniors) is a community benefit organization and is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation building a community where we all wish to live, work, raise children, go to school, volunteer and retire with grace and dignity.

A dedicated team of friendly, caring staff oversees daily operations, coordinates program activities and events, and communicates with recipients and volunteers. 

A talented and focused volunteer Board of Directors, of 12 members, meets regularly to help oversee and participate in strategic planning and implementation.

An additional Advisory Board offers expertise and support to program management.
