Recipients 60 years and older may receive program services for an average of two hours per week. All services are provided free of charge and may include the following by screened and trained volunteers:
Receive escorted rides to the doctor, store, and other destinations.
*Service is dependent upon volunteer availability and traveling distance.
Caring volunteers sit with loved ones to give caregivers a break.
Get help with completing forms, paying bills, writing letters,
and referrals for services.
Receive a friendly visit or phone call from a volunteer because everyone needs a friend!
Get assistance with special projects for yard work, painting, and more...
A volunteer will help you set up your cell phone, computer, internet, or TV.
Laurel Faith in Action is a wonderful resource that is available to YOU free of charge! We are here to help and willing to assist you. Please do not be shy, even if you just have questions about the program. You may not need services now, but someday you may...so please do not hesitate to reach out and inquire about our program.
*Please know that for the safety of volunteers and recipients, Laurel Faith in Action does not do anything medical or handle medications.*
WE ARE here to offer grocery pick-up, transportation to ESSENTIAL medical appointments, and telephone reassurance calls.
Many of our volunteers are also involved in projects such as sewing masks, advent angels and special family projects-all while keeping with the CDC guidelines of social distancing.
The governor of Pennsylvania has mandated that masks be worn when in a public setting. If you are in need of masks, please contact us for help.
Should you have any needs or questions during this time, please do not hesitate to call
